My story is different.
I have a good job. It’s 9-5, Monday to Friday. It isn't overly stressful, and it pays for my bills, a few luxuries, and a bit of savings every month. By most standards, I am "comfortable."
So, why did I become a Utility Warehouse (UW) Partner in February 2026?
The answer is simple: I realised how fragile "comfortable" really is.
The Wake-Up Call: The Redundancy Shadow
Recently, my company started making redundancies. While I’m still there, the shock of seeing colleagues let go made me realise that I am 100% dependent on an employer for my survival.
I started asking myself the "What If" questions:
- What if I lose this job and the market is slow?
- What if I get sick or injured and physically cannot work for six months?
- What if my savings run out before my health returns or I find another job?
I was already investing in dividend-paying stocks, but that’s a long game for retirement. I needed something that could build a "Plan B" now - something that didn't just pay me for my time, but built an income that would continue even if I had to stop.
My Search for a "Proper" Business
I didn’t want a hobby; I wanted a secondary income stream that met four very strict criteria:
- Passive Potential: It had to eventually pay me without me having to trade hours for pounds every single day.
- Low Risk: I didn't want to "waste" my savings on a business that might not work.
- No "Inventory": I had no interest in filling my flat with products or chasing people to buy things they didn't need.
- Longevity: I wanted a company with a track record. I saw what happened to the Body Shop at Home consultants - I didn't want to build a house on sand.
Why Utility Warehouse was the "Perfect Fit" for me
When I looked at the UK side hustle market, I found a lot of "noise." Most required huge start-up costs or monthly targets.
Utility Warehouse was the only one that stood out for a professional like me. Here is why:
- The Cost of Entry: It was just £10 to register. It was low-risk enough that even if I was terrible at it, I wouldn't be out of pocket.
- The Service: We aren't selling "magic juice" or expensive skincare. We help people save money on their energy, broadband, and mobile - things they are already paying for.
- The "Safety Net" Features: UW is part of a FTSE 250 company (Telecom Plus Plc). It has a "Guaranteed Minimum Income" at certain levels and a "Retirement Plan" where you can lock in your income. That sounded like the security I was looking for.
The Goal: Reaching the "Passive" Tipping Point
The most important part of my UW journey is the Residual Income.
In the beginning, you work for your money by finding customers. But there is a tipping point. Once you have over 50 customers, you receive your residual income every month regardless of whether you did any work that month or not.
That is my goal. That is my insurance policy.
If I reach that 50-customer mark, and then my job disappears or I’m unable to work, the "Residual Income" keeps hitting my bank account. It’s like the dividends from my stocks, but it grows much faster.
Why am I telling you this?
I’m looking for partners to join my team, but I’m not looking for "hustlers" who want to get rich overnight.
I’m looking for people like me - people who might have a good life now, but are smart enough to know they need a backup plan. Maybe you’re worried about redundancies, maybe you’re tired of the 9-5 grind, or maybe you just want to know that if life throws you a curve-ball, your bills are covered.
If my story resonates with you, let's talk.
You can click here to sign up as a partner for £10 and I will contact you to help you plan your next steps and help you get started on your UW journey, or if you’re like me and want to see the numbers first, contact me through my website here and I’ll show you exactly how it works.
